Pistol Permit No Longer Required for Crossbow Purchases in North Carolina

I read a news about a new state law just repealed a requirement that crossbow owners need to obtain a pistol permit to purchase or transfer ownership of a crossbow in North Carolina. In another word, there is no pistol permit needed for residents in North Carolina to purchase or own a crossbow now. Before, they require anyone buying a crossbow in NC to get either a pistol permit from local sheriff's office or a concealed handgun permit.

Now, crossbows are legal for any hunting season that allow bow and arrow hunting. The trend is more and more states are legalizing crossbows for hunting season.

PSE Reaper Crossbow Made of Rubberband Strings

Have you seen a crossbow made of rubber band strings? Here it is. Made by Wicky, the Reaper Crossbow uses a completely new double trigger system, which allows to hold arrows at full power, and you might use only 2 rubberband strings in the trigger one time if you want less power.

Here is the picture of the full Reaper Crossbow:

The Crossbow of Year 2010: PSE TAC 15i

If you have a budget of over $1.5k, which crossbow will you get? PSE TAC 15i might be the best choice. With rating of over 407 FPS incredible speed, it was voted the crossbow of the year 2010. Even it works like a monster when shooting arrows, thanks to its unique twin limb design, it produces little noise and vibration and is much quieter than my Parker Terminator.

The new PSE TAC 15i comes with a all new adjustable stock, which is the major upgrade from its brother TAC 15.
